Workshops

GSA provides the ability to organize and host a workshop as part of the Annual Scientific Meeting. These sessions provide attendees an intensive, in-depth educational experience. A session must be interactive with a "hands-on" learning component. Attendees should leave the workshop with a new set of skills and tangible ways to change behavior. All workshops are free for GSA 2023 Attendees.

Taking place on Wednesday, November 8, these Workshops will kick-off the GSA 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting and allow attendees to dive into the networking and educational opportunities. The overall theme for GSA 2023 in Tampa is…Building Bridges. Catalyzing Research. Empowering All Ages.

NEW for the Workshops:

  1. Workshops are half day sessions (4 hours) with hands-on learning component.
  2. Workshops will be slotted into one of two time frames: 8AM-12PM ET or 1PM-5PM ET (Wednesday only).
  3. If programming contains content that requires additional time, a Part II Workshop can be held in the afternoon.

Application

Application submissions for 2023 GSA Workshops are closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted.
All submitted applications are under review. We will be informing organizers by no later than early June.

ABOUT GSA

The Gerontological Society of America is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to research, education, and practice in the field of aging. GSA’s principal mission — and that of our 5,500 members — is to promote the study of aging and disseminate information to scientists, decision makers, and the general public. Founded in 1945, GSA is the driving force behind advancing innovation in aging — both domestically and internationally. Our members come from more than 50 countries. To further fulfill our mission, GSA assembles more nearly 4,000 professionals from around the world to an Annual Scientific Meeting. This monumental event now features more than 500 sessions each year. Additionally, we publish the field’s preeminent peer-reviewed journals.
