Getting Around

Tampa has made it a breeze for visitors to get out and about. Along with rental cars, taxis, and the plentiful Ubers and Lyfts, the trolley and water taxi services allow a unique ride around town! 

Tampa Downtown Free Streetcar (Trolley) Service 
Explore Tampa and enjoy all of the best restaurants and attractions that Downtown Tampa and Ybor City have to offer via the Free TECO Line Streetcar. 

Tampa Water Taxi Service 
Take a scenic ride to restaurants, hotels, attractions, museums, and parks located along their routes or just take a pleasant tour of Tampa. 

  • Pirate Water Taxi- Take the Pirate Water Taxi to any of the 17 stops along the Hillsborough river that runs through Downtown, the Channelside District and Davis Island. Home dock is Stop #7 – Convention Center. 

Tampa Riverwalk
Discover the Tampa Riverwalk, linking downtown’s favorite attractions like gems on a string along the stunning Hillsborough River. The 2.6-mile path leaves you at the footsteps of great eateries like Ulele and Heights Public Market or at signature attractions like the Tampa Bay History Center and The Florida Aquarium. At night, witness the colorful lights that bring the Riverwalk to life.

American Victory Ship  
Right next to the Aquarium is the American Victory Ship/Mariners Memorial Museum. Visiting guests can tour the vast interiors of the ship, one of only 4 fully operational WWII ships within the country.  

 

Busch Gardens Tampa 
Take the day to enjoy the thrills of some of the best roller coasters in the country, enjoy the beautiful grounds and safari wild life experience.
This award-winning park is just 25 minutes from downtown Tampa! 


The Florida Aquarium  
An amazing collection of exhibits that highlights some of Florida’s amazing wetlands and wildlife, visit the aquarium and support conservation at its best! 

 

Tampa Bay History Center 
Dive into 12000 years of Florida history when you visit this history museum covering everything from Pirates
to Teddy Roosevelt. 

 

Tampa Museum of Art 
This beautiful art venue hosts a wide variety of progressive and modern artists from all over the world.

Ybor City Neighborhood  
Ybor City is the only neighborhood on Florida’s west coast to be designated as a National Historic Landmark. Visitors will love the architecture, the restaurants and shopping available here (and if you are a cigar lover, the cigar shops are a must see!). While you are walking the streets, make sure you look out for the local chicken population, in the evenings they sleep in the trees!
